On March 2, 2016, Connecticut adopted a final rule that will change the annual renewal date for utilization review licenses. This regulation, tracking number PR2015-161, moves the utilization review licensure date from October 1 annually to January 1 annually. The purpose behind this change is to relieve some burden from the Department’s Life and Health Division, which is also responsible for forms and rates for health insurance products which are also due during the October time period. This change will impact section 38a-591-1(d) of the Connecticut General Statutes.
